RAM Prices Are Climbing Again — 32GB Now Costs More Than Your Pride

August 25, 2026 · Memory market news

Here's the bad news nobody wants: memory prices are on the rise. 32GB of DDR5-6000 has climbed to around $400 (call it 1,500+ AED), and 128GB kits are sitting at a frankly insulting $3,399. If you've been "waiting for prices to drop" like a patient fisherman — stop. The fish is gone, and the lake is on fire.

What's happening

The 2026 memory shortage is real and it's pushing DRAM prices up across the board. We've been tracking UAE listings: Adata XPG 32GB 6000 CL30 around 1,616 AED, Kingston Fury Beast around 1,775–2,009 AED, G.Skill Ripjaws M5 around 2,169 AED. Those prices are up significantly from the start of the year, and analysts expect the trend to continue through the rest of 2026.

What this means for UAE builders

RAM is one of the few components where UAE pricing tracks global prices closely — there's no "Dubai markup" cushion to soften the blow. If your build needs 32GB (and it does — see our RAM guide), buy now rather than waiting for a better deal. Waiting is a luxury you can no longer afford, financially or emotionally.

What to do

Our take

Memory shortages are cyclical — we've been here before, and prices eventually fall. The question is when, and "eventually" doesn't help you build a PC this month. Buy what you need now, skip what you don't, and keep an eye on the big sales. Your future self will thank present you — or curse you, depending on when you buy.
